The Good Son / Paul McVeigh / Salt / out this month
One of my favourite books coming out in April, this completely charming, pitch perfect story stole my heart. I read this after interviewing McVeigh on the phone and hearing him talk about the book made me want to read it (which is not always the case when talking to authors!) It tells the story of the delightful 11-year-old Mickey Donnelly during the Troubles and Mickey’s first person narrative has to be one of the best voices of 2015.
