2 July, London – Those Killer First Chapters

My class ‘Those Killer First Chapters: Grab your reader and get the attention of agents and editors’ is back after its sold-out debut earlier this year. Come along to Waterstones Piccadilly, London, July 2.

I’ll be joined by literary agent Carrie Kania who be answering your questions on submitting. She’ll also read your submission cover letter free of charge.

Simon van Booy will also join us to discuss publishing short stories, novels and non-fiction on both sides of the Atlantic.

You’ll also get a free copy of my novel The Good Son and free entry to the literary salon that evening with me, Fiona McFarlane over from Oz and Simon van Booy over from the US.

Thank you and congratulations Felicia Yap: “I attended Paul’s workshop two weeks before I went on submission. A truly enjoyable day and I learnt a lot. Sometimes, a single technical idea can make a real difference to our journeys as writers. I came away from Paul’s workshop with not one but several exciting possibilities. And yes, THE DAY AFTER YESTERDAY did get lots of attention merely two weeks later!” Selling for a 6 figure sum.
