WORD FACTORY PRESENTS:
Everything a debut author needs to know with Paul McVeigh
2016 was a tumultuous year for Word Factory associate director Paul McVeigh. The launch of his acclaimed debut novel The Good Son, saw Paul travelling the world with invitations to events and festivals, selling foreign and stage rights, being shortlisted for numerous awards and winning the Polari Prize.
As he prepares for The Good Son being given out free around the UK as part of Word Book Night in April two years after its release, Paul is coming back home to Word Factory for this masterclass on how to give your debut the best chance for success and how to keep that momentum going.
This masterclass takes the form of a talk on the key do’s and don’t this master communicator has learned, with short exercises to help you stay focused.
Aimed at:
– writers who are working on a book and want ideas on how to make that debut stand out
– writers who want to plan ahed for the day they get that book contract
– writers who have sold their fist book and want to prepare for publication day and beyond or who have already published to less than a fanfrare and want to kickstart new interest
